Best BeachesIt is exceptionally difficult to not find a beautiful beach around Auckland but there are a few which are worth pushing up the list. The first is Missions Bay which is closest to the city and has some of the best restaurants and places to relax. If you are happy to wonder a little further the iconic views of Piha and Muriwai are definitely worth the trip.

Island TouringAuckland is home to some of the most beautiful Island destinations in New Zealand, with activities ranging from hiking and relaxing to wine tours and cruise trips. Three of the most accessible Islands is Waiheke Island, Gret Barrier Island and Rangitoto Island. These destinations are all easy to get to via ferry.

Night LifeAuckland has a vibrant nightlife with classic comedy, fine dining, pubs and clubs all on the menu. The Viaduct harbour has some of the best world class restaurants spotted between the piers. Queen Street and Parnell Road too have excellent fine dining and both lively and quaint pubs. For those a little more adventurous take a stroll down Karangahape Road (K Road) for a few new experiences.

Adrenalin RushIn keeping with the adrenalin seeking nature of the locals there is a number of heart pounding activities in and around Auckland. The Sky Tower offers both the Sky Jump and the Sky Walks, both of which are unique to Auckland. The Harbour Bridge is home to the Auckland Bridge Bungee and the Bridge walk absolute must do’s if a thrill is what you’re after.

Heritage BuildingsAuckland has a rich heritage with many of the buildings reserving the status of heritage sites. Amongst the most popular of these would be The Civic Theatre, Auckland Town Hall and Auckland Museum. A little further afield the Mansion House, The Melanesian Mission House and MOTAT. Each of these are spectacular within their own right and form an essential part of Auckland’s story.
